Beautiful books to inspire care and wellbeing for a bright future

Welcome to Storyhouse!

We are a small independent UK publisher that creates picture books for children.

As a parent of two reading children’s books everyday, I set up Storyhouse to produce books with rich and engaging content. Our stories create wonder and delight which is so important to help foster a love of reading and at the same time they gently entwine ideas to support children’s wellbeing, including ideas about friendship, collaborative play, kindness and conservation.

We hope that you enjoy reading our books as much as we loved making them.

Green Matters

The paper we use to make all of our books have the following certifications, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. This is the only wood certification endorsed by Greenpeace and WWF. Our distributor, CBS uses cardboard packaging for their deliveries and paper void fill all of which can be recycled.

We don’t print anything in our day-to-day work and keep electronic files instead and we recycle anything sent to us.

Where we can, we print locally in the UK. Our most recent title, Sunshine at Bedtime, was printed at Severn in Gloucester. When printing in the Far East, we work with trusted suppliers and have details of all materials used to make our books.
